Loyola Voice Professor Ivan Griffin will sing the title role in Opéra Louisiane's performance of Ulysses: An American Mythology. Set in the South in the early 1960’s, Ulysses journeys home to find his wife pursued by his enemies and himself unrecognizable to her. Artistic Director Michael Borowitz has adapted Monteverdi’s Ulysses for gospel and R & B orchestra. A truly unique musical event, Ulysses is sung in the original Italian and stars bass-baritone Griffin. Directed by William Shomos.
