Tyler Lindsay (Music Performance Sophomore), Karl Robinson (Music Education Junior), and Cyrus Nabipoor (Jazz Studies Junior) received solo awards from the International Trumpet Guild. Each year, the organization gives ten awards to undergraduates from around the world and recognizes those students at its annual conference in May. Students submit recordings of the contest repertoire, and the winners are selected through an anonymous judging process. Each student will be introduced during the annual awards banquet, where he will receive a cash award and conference scholarship. They will also be recognized in the ITG journal.
