Brandon Carcamo ('20) Wins the 2020 Austin Classical Guitar Festival

Composer and guitarist Brandon Carcamo (Class of 2020) won the composition prize of the 2020 Austin Classical Guitar Festival composition competition with his piece Solace for guitar orchestra.  Solace was planned to be premiered during the ACG Fest in May; however, due to the current circumstances, the festival was cancelled, but took on a new light as The Solace Project.  Guitarists from all over the country submitted recordings of the different parts of the piece along with pictures and videos of things that bring them solace.  The video was premiered on May 30th as part of a final concert entitled Together.
