School of Music

Student Chapter of Music Educators National Conference

This organization provides opportunities for professional development through the on-campus activities of the chapter, paraprofessional services to the community, contacts with leaders in the profession, and participation in local, state, and national music education meetings. Additionally, members receive individual copies of the Music Educators Journal and The Louisiana Musician. Open to all students.

Loyola Association for Music Therapy Students

The purpose of this organization is to provide students with opportunities to gain specialized knowledge concerning the use of music with handicapped individuals. Members receive copies of the Journal of Music Therapy. Open to all students.

Music and Entertainment Industry Students

The Music Business Club serves as Loyola's chapter of the Music & Entertainment Industry Student Association (MEISA), which is the student wing of Music & Entertainment Industry Educators Association (MEIEA). The club is an educational forum organized to allow students to participate in professional activities by promoting interaction between its members and industry professionals. The activities of the club include field trips, educational seminars, and guest speakers. The club is affiliated with the following organizations:

Association-MEISA Sigma Alpha Iota

The professional music fraternity for women was recently chartered at Loyola University New Orleans. SAI members are women who demonstrate excellence in performing or composing and scholarship. Membership in the organization is by invitation.

Genesis Gospel Choir

The Genesis Gospel Choir's mission is to glorify God through worship. The choir's members come from different backgrounds, cultures and denominational experiences to join together to worship using dynamic media such as Black Gospel and Contemporary Christian music. Genesis performs on campus and throughout the city of New Orleans.

Can't Sing? NO PROBLEM. God has blessed each and every one of His children with a gift. Whether it be singing, praise dancing, sign language, playing an instrument, rapping, speaking, whatever...USE IT. Join Genesis and use what God has given you to praise His name.

Theatre Arts + Dance

Loyola Society of Dance (ballet)

The Loyola Society of Dance is a performing arts organization dedicated to the promotion, encouragement, and support of the art of dance in the Loyola community.

Alpha Psi Omega

Alpha Psi Omega was organized as an honorary dramatic fraternity for the purpose of providing an honor society for those doing a high standard of work in theatre and, to provide a wider fellowship for those interested in theatre. Alpha Psi Omega has given national recognition to student participants of drama productions, building morale and self esteem.

Art & Design

American Institute for Graphic Arts (AIGA)
