Journalism Professional in Residence Gina Swanson, current anchor at New Orleans broadcast station WDSU, was awarded an Edward R. Murrow award by the Radio Television Digital News Association for her work on "Schooled: Education at a Crossroads", a series on the News Orleans school system. Swanson recently joined the School of Communication & Design faculty to teach students about professional ethics while working in the field.
