We are so proud to announce that two Loyola Theatre Arts & Dance (TAD) alums received Big Easy Awards this year!! The Big Easy Awards is New Orleans’ premier theatre awards event; the awards recognize annual and lifetime achievement in arts and entertainment. New Orleans locals who professionally work in theatre, design, music, production, or any aspect of the performing arts can be nominated and awarded for excellence in their craft.
Congratulations to our two TAD alums who received awards this year:
TAD alum Kali Russell won “Best Actress in Musical” for Cabaret and “Best Choreography in Musical” (along with Christopher Bentivegna) with See Em’ On Stage: A Production Company. Cabaret also featured TAD alum Kristen Swanson!
TAD alum Jessie Terrebonne Thompson won “Best Supporting Actress in Musical” for her performance in Matilda with Tulane’s Summer Lyric Theatre program.
Congratulations also goes to our Cadillac Crew director, Lauren Turner, who won “Best Play” for In the Red and Brown Water with her theatre company No Dream Deferred NOLA.
