Instructor, Music Industry Studies

An alumnus of the music industry studies program at Loyola, Jason earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Industry Studies and minored in Business Administration. He continued his education by earning a Master of Science in Music Technology from the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology.

Jason spent nearly ten years with Sony Music Entertainment’s A&R department in Nashville, and also performed with many national acts as a live and studio drummer. Projects he managed garnered twenty two (22) Grammy-nominations, one (1) Grammy win, (5) Billboard® Music Award nominations, five (5) GMA Dove Award nominations, one (1) RIAA Certified Gold album, and multiple Gold singles.

Jason continues to be an active voting member of the Nashville Chapter of The Recording Academy, as well as a member of the Academy’s Producers & Engineers Wing. He is also a professional voting member of the Gospel Music Association and an alumnus of the Society of Leaders in Development.

Jason has returned to Loyola to share his wealth of experience, and teaches courses in A&R and Project Management.
