Dr. James MacKay is an associate professor of music theory and composition at Loyola University New Orleans. He has published articles on William Byrd's vocal music, as well as and on formal and performance practice issues in the instrumental music of Joseph Haydn and Ludwig Van Beethoven. His articles have appeared in various journals, including Intersections (Canadian University Music Review), Theory and Practice, Haydn-Studien, and Indiana Theory Review.
