THE TECH/SKILLS TRACK

Introduced to the Music Industry Studies degree program in 2015, the tech/skills track enables students to pursue a specific area of technology or creative expertise.

Students can choose from six (6) tracks: graphic design, mass communication, audio technology, digital media, production, or music technology. If a student successfully completes one of these defined tracks, a concentration in that area will be added to all official Loyola University transcripts. However, if this is not a priority, students can also choose to not follow a track and instead mix and match courses of specific interest (see the master list of tech/skills electives below).

As with the business track, the tech/skills track is a great way for Music Industry Studies students to easily add a minor to their major. By using general electives to add three (3) additional courses in certain tracks, students will earn a minor in that track without having to take extra coursework outside of their degree program.
