MICHAEL MILEY

Instructor, Digital Filmmaking

Miley was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, and attended Loyola University New Orleans, where he studied under Surface Calm and Mary Reilly author Valerie Martin. He graduated with a B.A. in English Writing, and attended the American Film Institute's Directing Program, earning an M.F.A. in June 2003.

A screenwriter, producer, and director, Miley wrote and directed the short films The Red Bow, The Bug Man, and Ghost Writers, and served as producer or co-producer for Fields of the Damned, Fields of the Damned 2: Legacy, and Liberation. He has returned to his alma mater, Loyola, where he teaches courses about global cinema and directing.
