About the Panel
Ron Richard, a graduate of Louisiana State University, is the founder and CEO of SimplePlay Presents, LLC, where he works with Loyola alums Michael Twillman and Reid Martin. SimplePlay Presents is a New Orleans based music promotion company specializing in concert production, promotions and artist management since 2006. He also works as a talent buyer for Gasa Gasa, a live music venue and artistic space located on Freret Street in Uptown New Orleans.
Michael Twillman is a talent manager, booking agent, and entrepreneur focused on the New Orleans region. In 2013, he co-founded the music venue Gasa Gasa, located on Freret Street in New Orleans’ Uptown. In conjunction with his new venue, Michael also co-founded Simple Play Management with fellow alum Reid Martin (2009), an artist management company in the New Orleans area. He currently serves as CFO and Director of Festival Operations. In December 2016, Michael joined New Orleans' Civic Theater as production manager, where he oversees all aspects of concert production for the renowned 1,200-seat venue.
Cooper Garff is an alum of the Music Industry Studies program at Loyola University New Orleans, and has served as Assistant Tour Manager for international rap star and fellow alum G-Eazy since 2014. G-Eazy won the 2016 People's Choice Award for favorite hip-hop artist, and his album These Things Happen reached number 3 on the Billboard 200 that year.
Dan Helfers is an account executive with FSC Interactive, where he serves as a client liaison for digital marketing to New Orleans Tourism, the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau, Mardi Gras World, Le Méridien Hotel New Orleans, and GoNOLA. He also has worked as an independent artist manager since 2016.
