About Russell Ziecker

As Executive Vice President of Television Music for Lionsgate Films, Russell Ziecker has overseen music for Emmy® and Golden Globe®-winning series including Mad Men, Nurse Jackie, Orange is the New Black, Anger Management, Nashville, and Weeds. Russell has been involved in 35 series and nearly 600 singular episodes of television, and the soundtrack he coordinated of ABC's Nashville has sold over 600,000 copies and has been individually downloaded over 3.2 million times.

After an early start as a bass player in a number of recording bands, Russell started in the mailroom at Chrysalis Music Group, where he worked his way up into music publishing. He then worked for Virgin Music America's music publishing arm, before transitioning into personal artist management in the mid-1990s. Following this, Ziecker served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Milan Records, where he supervised the release of over seventy-five (75) soundtracks, chill-out compilations, and other titles. Upon leaving Milan Records, Ziecker joined SYN, Simon LeBon's Tokyo-based music production company, as head of American operations, where he produced the music for over four hundred (400) commercials.

In his current role at Lionsgate, Ziecker continues to explore additional business initiatives and revenue streams for the company, including a branded, live-touring business for Mad Men and Nashville.
