About Jack Bonney
Jack Bonney is a radio broadcast professional and educator based in Greensboro, North Carolina, and the current program director of WSNC 90.5 FM. Bonney earned both his undergraduate and master's degrees at the University of North Carolina, where he began to get involved with the university's radio station, WUAG 103.1 FM. Eventually, Bonney was hired as the general manager of the station, where he supervised all aspects of operations - programming, budget, promotions, and productions. His expertise in radio broadcasting also led him to join the university as a part-time faculty member, where he taught higher-level courses in radio and film.
In 2013, Bonney took over as program director for WSNC 90.5 FM, a jazz, gospel, and talk radio station operated by Winston Salem State University serving the Piedmont Triad area of the state. WSNC 90.5 FM began its first broadcast on May 2, 1983, and broadcasts 24/7 from its 10,000-watt tower located on the campus of Winston-Salem State University. The station also provides some National Public Radio News (NPR), Public Radio International (PRI) and public affairs programming.
