About Chris Cajoleas
A native of Jackson, Mississippi, Chris Cajoleas operates the music management firm Swimming, based in Los Angeles. In as early as the ninth grade, Chris began hosting and promoting concerts and shows in the Jackson area, using primarily DIY venues. Chris later attended Mississippi State University in Starkville, MS, where he continued to produce and promote local shows, bands, and rappers in an effort to grow the Starkville music scene.
After interning for Virgin UK, Chris shifted into artist promotion and management with AEG, working with artists including Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Kings of Leon, ZZ Top, and others. Chris is currently the manager of fellow Jackson resident and rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer Pell, whose remixed track "Eleven:11" has been streamed over 7 million times on Spotify. Pell's latest single, "All In A Day's Work," was released in September 2016.
About Reid Martin
While still a Music Industry Studies major at Loyola, Reid co-founded Simple Play Management in 2006 with fellow alum and current adjunct Michael Twillman, where he currently serves as Director of Artist Management. Founded in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, Simple Play has been an active leader in revitalizing the New Orleans music community. By providing a common ground for natives and transplants to join the reborn music scene and promoting musical acts both locally and across the country, Simple Play not only established itself as a pioneer in up-and-coming music styles and genres, it helped rebuild the music community in New Orleans.
Since 2006, Simple Play has worked with artists such as Galactic, GIVERS, Moon Taxi, STRFKR, Ra Ra Riot, J. Roddy Walston and the Business, BATHS, Geographer, The Glitch Mob, White Denim, Futurebirds, Black Moth Super Rainbow, Washed Out, The Features, Little Dragon, Sage Francis, EOTO, Royal Teeth, Lotus, ESKMO, Star Slinger, and more.
