Scott Billington-Produced Record Wins BMA Blues Record of the Year

Bobby Rush’s Grammy®-winning 2017 album Porcupine Meat, produced by Loyola’s own Scott Billington, chalked up another win for Album of the Year at the 38th annual Blues Music Awards.  Held on May 11th by The Blues Foundation at the Cook Convention Center in downtown Memphis, the ceremony featured blues world greats highlighting the accomplishments in the genre during the past year.  Dr. Jeff Albert, trombonist and Assistant Professor of Music Technology at Loyola, was also featured on Porcupine Meat.

At Loyola, Scott currently teaches MUGN-M440 Production of Recorded Music, a senior-level music production elective in which students must work with artists in the studio to produce professional-grade tracks.
