Rich Collins of Imagination Movers Joins Pop Faculty

FAMIS is proud to announce that Rich Collins, Emmy®-winning co-creator and co-star of the international hit Disney Channel® series and touring act Imagination Movers, has joined our department as a contemporary ensemble instructor for the Popular and Commercial Music program.  While living in New Orleans in the early 2000s, Rich and three friends founded the indie band aimed at young audiences and their parents. Together, they spent the next decade transforming the Movers into a global brand generating millions in revenue. Rich appears in seventy-five (75) episodes of the Disney Channel series, which has been broadcast to over fifty (50) countries.

Throughout his career as a singer, songwriter, drummer, guitarist, mixer, and producer (with both Imagination Movers and later solo releases), Rich has written and recorded over two hundred original songs, and has performed on Good Morning AmericaThe View, and Live! with Regis and Kelly. He has performed at the White House twice and toured across North America, Europe, and Asia. “Golden Pick,” a song from his latest solo album, was selected by Sirius XM Radio for rotation.
