Date:
Thursday, November 4, 2021 - 7:30pm
Location:
Nunemaker Auditorium

Loyola Opera Workshop invites you to their first event of the 2021-22 season - "Opera's Cannonball Moments: Celebrating the Ignatian Year." This piano-accompanied scenes program will feature 33 graduate and undergraduate singers, and draws inspiration from St. Ignatius himself. While recuperating from a serious injury 500 years ago, he experienced a revelation, directing him to forsake his military career and become a man of God. Enjoy a sample of life-changing moments, both serious and comic, in the music of Mozart, Ravel, Gilbert & Sullivan, Massenet, Puccini, Poulenc and Weill.

Music director Carol Rausch will be at the piano, and the stage directors are Luretta Bybee, Irini Kyriakidou, and Lara Lignitz. Thursday, November 4th, at 7:30pm in Nunemaker Auditorium.

Event is free and open to the public.

Loyola follows all City of New Orleans' protocols for COVID-19 and indoor music venues.
