Student Resources

Loyola Art Students pose in an art gallery.

Opportunities abound

We believe in educating the whole person through rigorous academic studies and plentiful cultural experiences. We encourage you to immerse yourself in campus life at Loyola by taking advantage of the many services we have to offer.

  • Internships

The culture of New Orleans is rich in the arts and thus provides ample opportunities for student internships. Students have participated in internships with high-profile organizations throughout the city, such as Louisiana State Theater Festival, Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, New Orleans Opera Association, New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, New Orleans Museum of Art and Peter Mayer Advertising.

For information on Visual Arts interships, please contact Mark Grote: wgrote@loyno.edu

  • Field Trips

The Art Department takes regular field trips locally and internationally to view art outside of the textbook.
  • Untitled Visual Arts Collective

The “Untitled Visual Arts Collective” is a group of Loyola Students who aim to make Loyola University a more creative learning environment, as well as manage the Danna Center Gallery. Composed of both art and non-art majors, Untitled is a unique organization that hosts student art shows, student art sales, as well as other fun art centered activities.
